Question: Can the BoozeBuddy measure precise BAC level?

Answer: No, the current model does not provide exact BAC reading.  It has a yellow light to indicate levels between 0.02 to 0.05, and a red light to indicate 0.05 and above.  If you tested a yellow or red light, it is adviseable that you refrain from driving.  Re-test until the green light displays. 

Question: Can I use the BoozeBuddy measurement as evidence of BAC level when checked by Booze Bus?

Answer: No, Booze Buddy is by no means use as evidence of BAC level when checked by the police.  It only provides a safe indication of your BAC level to warn you of driving dangers.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you are tested green using Booze Buddy before you should drive.

Question: Is the BoozeBuddy accurate?

Answer: Yes, the Booze Buddy is accurate within ± 10%.  However, the unit will need to be recalibrated after constant use of 6 to 9 months.  Calibration service is provided by boozebuddy.com.au.  Please email customer service for more information.
